Our quartz reflects this commitment to quality, craft, and thoughtful sourcing.

Le Lian handpicks every bead from small family-run workshops across the city of Donghai, which is called the "Crystal City" because of its long history of crystal mining and craftsmanship. It was also where high-quality crystals were first discovered.

The top culture magazine the WIRED has published a in-depth reportage on how Donghai has become the crystal capital of the world. A journalist from Gemstone Detective referred to the her experience in Donghai as "a once-in-a-lifetime experience," calling it "a chance to see some of the most stunning crystal specimens in the world."

Craftsmanship sits at the core of our brand. There are many traditionally-run crystal markets in Donghai, which gather according to the traditional agricultural calendar. We have built connections with some of the family workshops, chosen for their deep knowledge of crystal and bead making. We visit them regularly to observe the process, refine details, and speak directly with the artisans behind each piece.

We know that many other brands only source beads from unknown online channels and don’t do due diligence. A good-quality crystal should feel clear or gently translucent, rather than overly glass-like, with a natural weight and presence in your hand. Its color should appear organic and vibrant, not too uniform or artificial. Pay attention to the surface — a well-made piece will feel smooth and thoughtfully shaped.

Produced in small batches by a collective of over 10 skilled artisans, every design merges traditional techniques with a modern sensibility.
